Thousands of undelivered letters were discovered at Edenbridge delivery office.Royal Mail has launched an investigation after thousands of undelivered letters were found at a delivery office in the Kent town of Edenbridge. Some of the letters have been delayed by up to nine months, the BBC reports, which could encourage others to use Post Office alternatives for their parcel delivery needs in the future.Royal Mail claims the mail had been withheld by one of its employees and all 3,500 pieces had now been sent out.Caroline Laming, a resident in the town, told the news provider that the delay has proved disruptive to her business."I am disappointed I've been chasing people for about eight months now with their cheques and asking them to send it again," she added.A man has been arrested after a member of the public recently found 30 bags of mail dumped in Walton Gardens, according to the Warrington Guardian.Posted by Mark MooreArticle Added: 14/12/2009 09:21:48
