Royal Mail bosses to meet Streatham residents

Bosses will meet members of the publicChris Nicholson, the Liberal Democrat candidate for the town, has called for a consultation between the public and Royal Mail bosses.

The bosses at Royal Mail have agreed to hold a meeting with residents in the Streatham area to see how parcel delivery services can be improved, it has been reported.

Chris Nicholson, the Liberal Democrat candidate for the town, has called for a consultation between the public and chiefs at the organisation on March 5th, according to the Streatham Guardian.

Some residents have highlighted a few problems in recent weeks and are keen to discuss the matter with Royal Mail so parcel delivery services can return to the standards they expect.

A spokesman for the firm told the newspaper that the postal strikes last year caused some disruption and this could still be affecting services in the area.

"We continue to monitor the mail service for our customers and will be happy to discuss the matter at our forthcoming meeting," the representative added.

Residents in the Clitheroe village of Gisburn will need to use Post Office alternatives for their parcel delivery needs for the foreseeable future after the local branch closed its doors, the Clitheroe Advertiser reported.
