A study by Consumer Focus Scotland found many are unhappy with the services the Post Office provides.

Residents in Argyll and Bute have complained that the closure of eight Post Offices has resulted in a poorer service at the remaining ones.

A study by Consumer Focus Scotland found many face longer queues as a result of the decision, according to the BBC.

The investigation also revealed that many had access to fewer services overall, which has seen many people using the services of Post Office alternatives for their parcel delivery needs.

Trisha McAuley, interim director of Consumer Focus Scotland, told the news provider that the situation in Argyll and Bute is a serious one.

"The negative impact of the network change programme on service users in Argyll and Bute revealed by this report is of great concern, particularly if it reflects the experience of consumers in other parts of Scotland," she added.

Virginia Mason, writing in the Halifax Courier, recently hit out at the new ticketing system introduced to her local Post Office, claiming the move has made sending parcels more complicated than it needs to be.
