An original vintage Pan Am Airlines bag dating to the 1970s has attracted the attention of many buyers on eBay.

A highly sought-after, original vintage Pan Am Airlines flight shoulder bag has appeared on eBay.

The 1970s item is in near mint condition, according to the seller, and will no doubt have fans of vintage apparel eyeing price movements on the item very closely.

There have already been 15 bids on the bag, which still has four and a half days until a parcel delivery can be made to the winning buyer.

In a sign that the bag may be receiving international attention from eBay lovers, blog Retro To Go devoted an entire post to keeping readers informed about the product.

The website claims that the "original is always the best", before noting that the bidding began at a very favourable level, which will no doubt entice many buyers out of the woodwork.

Described as "very, very hardly used" by the seller, buyers are assured it is an "100 per cent old vintage original, no new reproduction" item.

The current bid on the item is $51 (£32).
