A new scheme in which pubs can be used as collection points is proving popular, it has been revealed.Pubs have given their approval to new scheme that allows people to use them as a collection point for parcel deliveries.Over 500 public houses have signed up to the Useyourlocal.com campaign, which was created by Stuart Mills who used to work for the Scottish and Newcastle brewery.Discussing the success, Mr Mills told the Morning Advertiser that he also believed the concept was "a great idea".He added: "It's also about more than the parcels though. When pubs sign up they get their own website and the ability to email their regulars. "It's all about getting people through the door and helping pubs to regain their place at the heart of local communities."People across the UK may be seeking alternative arrangements for parcel deliveries, as Royal Mail workers are holding a number of strikes.Article Added: 14/08/2009 15:15:37
