A postman has been suspended after not delivering letters and parcels for six months.<br/><br/>A postman has been suspended from work after it was discovered he had not posted mail for six months.The Ballyclare Delivery Office worker was found to have been hoarding letters, the BBC reports.Royal Mail claims to have recovered all of the missing mail and is reportedly investigating the incident.A spokesperson said: "Royal Mail and its people have a zero tolerance approach to any instances of delaying the mail and work together to ensure that such cases are detected and dealt with as swiftly as possible."Businessman Terry Dalzell, who works in the area, told the BBC that his business had been affected by the postman's activities.He explained that a postman had eventually delivered a pile of mail, containing letters and cheques for the business that were months late.A woman recently received £100 back from Royal Mail that had been mistakenly posted by her young daughters, the Daily Telegraph reports.After discovering the error, Sarah Lockett from London filed a return claim and was surprised when she received the money back, since the envelope only had the name of her cleaner on the front.Article Added: 04/08/2009 08:42:35
