Postman admits he 'can't carry all parcels which need to be delivered'

A postman was confronted by a member of the publicBromley resident reveals Royal Mail parcel delivery woes.

A Bromley woman has told how she confronted a postman who pushed a "sorry, you were out" card through her door while she was in fact in the house.

Jan Ferrari, from Park Road, Beckingham, wrote a letter to the Bexley Times revealing that she asked why he had pushed the card through instead of delivering the package.

"I opened the door immediately and saw the postman and asked for the parcel. He explained that he didn't actually have it," she said.

The Royal Mail employee explained to her that Royal Mail and some sub-standard parcel delivery firms cannot carry all the good to be delivered, highlighting the importance of using a reputable parcel delivery firm such as Parcel2Go.com.

Several readers contacted the Telegraph recently complaining of similar practices where postmen posted these cards through their doors despite the fact that they were at home waiting for the parcel to be delivered.
