Royal Mail workers in Watford have agreed to strike over the suspension of a health and safety representative.People in Watford could be forced to seek post office alternatives in the near future as Royal Mail workers in the area prepare to strike.Employees at the Ascot Road mail centre are planning industrial action after they voted in support of a strike over the suspension of a union representative Bob Kennedy, who has yet to face any formal charges.According to the Watford Observer, the Communication Workers Union has not agreed on dates for the action.Alan Walsh, branch secretary of the union, told the newspaper that the action is a "last resort".He added "We're still trying hard to get Bob back to work and I have met with officials over the last two days."Earlier this week, Royal Mail was urged by councillor Fraser Macpherson to improve its postal services in Dundee, according to the town's Evening Telegraph and Post.Article Added: 11/06/2009 16:06:39
