Another round of postal strikes is to hit services across the UK this week. People across the UK are set to be affected by more Royal Mail strikes this week, as disputes over job cuts continue to rage on.Workers in London, the Midlands, Yorkshire, Bristol and Northern Ireland are to walk out on various days throughout the week, which will affect parcel delivery services across the UK.Postal workers in Nottingham, Leeds and Carrickfergus will be on strike for the first time since the national action which took place in 2007.The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has blamed the Royal Mail of cutting jobs and pay of its workers, adding this had lead to worse services.Dave Ward, CWU deputy general secretary, said Royal Mail agreed to modernisation plans in 2007 and has since reneged on the agreement.He added: "Workers are busier than ever and being treated badly.
