Festivalgoers can't do without their gadgets, Post Office research reveals.As the festival season truly gets underway with the launch of Glastonbury this weekend, research from Post Office Home Insurance has found that even when bedding down in the mud, music-lovers can't be without their gadgets.Festivalgoers are expected to take over 2 million camcorders, 12 million digital cameras and nearly a million sets of hair straighteners to festivals, concerts and sporting events this year, according to the study."The Post Office recommends that people avoid taking new and expensive items with them and leave non-essentials at home," said Gerry Barrett, head of Post Office Home Insurance."Spending hundreds of pounds on a festival ticket only to have your favourite gadget stolen whilst there doesn't make for a summer of fun."Other money-saving tips from Royal Mail this summer include checking fuel prices on the continent before driving off on holiday, as motorists may be surprised to find how much they have risen since they were last there.Posted by Mark Moore.Article Added: 25/06/2010 09:55:00
