Mobile phones are becoming the "natural way" to search online.
More evidence that businesses providing parcel delivery and courier services should optimise their social media presence for mobile has emerged, as it is claimed phones are now the "natural way" to browse the internet.
Search on mobile is a "clear driver of traffic" and offers brands with a "great opportunity" to target consumers, according to Christian Louca, managing director of YOC UK, a mobile solutions provider.
He adds that firms should not discount mobile search in favour of in-app advertising, as it presents a greater opportunity for all companies.
"Mobile users search for specific content from their devices on the move - whether it is local restaurants, train times, cinema listings, shops or other amenities – and even when they are sat at home on the sofa, away from a computer," explains Mr Louca.
His comments follow those of InSites Consulting managing partner Steve Van Belleghem, who said this week that mobile will be the key driver of social media content.
