A 67-year-old has launched a petition complaining about queues at Petersfield Post Office.People in a village in Hampshire could be looking for post office alternatives after complaints are rising about queues at the branch. Local residents who use Petersfield Post Office have launched a petition asking for branch bosses to employ extra staff in order to reduce the queues during busy periods, reports the Bognor Regis Observer. Paula Wigley, 67, launched the petition after hearing a lot of post office users "grumbling" about the long waits. She claimed that people risk missing buses and other public transport as "you never know how long you are going to be stuck in a queue there". "A fortnight ago I needed a parcel, but because of the queueing outside to the pavement it took me half an hour. People outside were grumbling but they are very polite - people in other countries would not be as good," added Ms Wigley. The village of Anstey was recently hit by the closure of its branch, which has led to local residents having to look for post office alternatives, the Leicester Mercury reported.Article Added: 13/08/2009 14:57:26
