Parcelforce will be the new UK carrier for RS Components electronics and maintenance products.

Parcelforce Worldwide has been appointed as the UK delivery carrier of RS Components, following the agreement of a new two-year contract.

The world's largest distributor of electronics and maintenance products will begin working with Parcelforce, who replace DHL Domestic as the UK carrier, from July 19th.

Commenting on the new deal, the delivery company's sales and marketing director Nick Landon explained that the contract underlines the high quality of Parcelforce's efficient and competitively-priced service for B2B clients.

RS general manager of supply chain Anne Buggink explained: "Both companies have a long history of unrivalled high quality service levels and we will continue to deliver that same level of service to our customers.

"We will also work with Parcelforce Worldwide to further improve and explore new delivery opportunities."

Parcelforce is among the postal firms that have found business challenging during the recession.

Earlier this month, delivery firm DHL underlined the need for the continuous development of innovative solutions to meet current and future logistics demand, that is focused specifically on customer needs.
