Parcel delivery firm gets new name

Parcel delivery company undergoes name changeThe Home Delivery Network has been rebranded and will now be called Yodel.

Parcel delivery firm the Home Delivery Network (HDNL) has been rebranded and will now be called Yodel, it has been announced.

Chief executive officer of the firm Jonathan Smith said that the new brand name is a signal of the firm's "ambitions to be a truly customer-focused business offering a full suite of services".

"The combined business is already growing faster than the market and we are excited about our future potential," he said.

As well as HDNL, the business-to-business and business-to-consumer parcel delivery firms of DHL Express will also now go by the name of Yodel. HDNL took over these arms of the DHL empire back in March.

Since taking over the firms, Yodel has enjoyed more than 100 new clients in the past two months and is set to generate revenue of more than £1 million this year.

All in all, the parcel delivery service has 123 service centres, eight national hubs and 5,000 delivery vans.
