The DVD release of blockbuster Avatar could tempt some to use parcel delivery services to get their hands on a copy.

Film fans can now finally get their hands on a copy of blockbuster movie Avatar - and with so many websites offering parcel delivery services right to their doors, people do not even need to budge from home to get their copy.

Avatar hit the shelves on April 26th and was one of the most successful movies last year. It is the work of Titanic and Aliens director James Cameron and tells the story of the fictional world of Pandora, which is under threat from developers.

For those who have not seen the film and are not sure whether they want to buy it outright, parcel delivery could also come in useful as some DVD rental sites allow customers to rent films online and then send them back which they have enjoyed them at home.

Other new releases to hit the shelves recently include It's Complicated, a grown up rom com starring Meryl Streep, and Nine, a show stopping musical featuring an all-star cast.
