A new online shopping service can make it easier for brides-to-be to organise dresses for their bridesmaids.

A new online shopping tool allows brides and bridesmaids to check out more than 10,000 dresses from over 300 designers, its makers have revealed.

The Shiny Orb shopping site is ideal for those planning a wedding whose bridesmaids and other ceremony attendees may be scattered all over the country.

Once a user has picked a dress they like, they can add it to the virtual dressing room, allowing other bridesmaids and the bride herself to comment on it.

For extra special items such as a wedding dress, using signed parcel delivery services could help keep an item safe and ensure its arrival at the right destination.

Co-founder of the site Elizabeth Yin said that the way in which brides are searching for dresses for their wedding is changing.

"These days the modern bride goes online to search and shop. We're seeing bridal parties who are scattered across the country turn to the web as a go-to channel to shop and coordinate apparel," she explained.
