A new online shopping discount website could help Brits save cash on their internet purchasing.

An online shopping voucher website could help regular parcel delivery customers to enjoy discounts when buying on the internet.

The Wow Voucher Codes platform is soon set to boast special offers for more than two thousand online retailers and will allow buyers to search specifically for money-off vouchers for certain purchases or for individual retailers.

Buyers can already take advantage of discount codes for items from Thorntons, Argos, Boots, ASDA, Dell and Ann Summers, said the website, which noted that there have been big changes in the shopping habits of Brits over the past few years.

"Over the years, the shopping trend has witnessed a sea change as the buyers have started preferring to shop online instead of visiting the traditional high street shops," it explained.

Figures from the most recent IMRG Capgemini e-retail sales index showed that in April this year, the online shopping sector saw a rise of 32 per cent when compared to the same month in 2009.
