StubHub, an eBay site for tickets, has ranked its top-selling NFL opening matches.

American football fans who receive their tickets from eBay site StubHub via courier delivery are willing to pay big money for this season's opening matches.

StubHub is a ticket selling platform that connects fans of sports, music and entertainment events around the world and it seems to be growing in popularity.

NFL ticket sales this year are seeing double-digit growth on the site and it appears that fans are willing to pay top dollar to see their pigskin heroes in action.

The season kicks off on Thursday (September 9th) with Superbowl holders the New Orleans Saints entertaining the Minnesota Vikings.

Tickets for this clash are going for an average of $375 (£243) each and rank fourth for sales for opening games.

Top of the tree in that respect is the match between the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys, for which tickets are fetching $251 (£162) a time.

British fans of the sport will no doubt be able to order a parcel delivery of tickets for the upcoming clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos on October 31st.
