Someone has sold a Nintendo Entertainment System for $50,000 on eBay.
At a cost of $50,000 (£33,000), it might not be the cheapest parcel delivery that the new owner of an original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) has ever received.
The NES was put up for sale on eBay, initially offered for $35,000 (£23,000) and including free parcel delivery from UPS.
However, in the end someone picked up the retro console, which made its debut in Japan in 1983, for some $15,000 (£10,000) more than the asking price.
The person selling the 8-bit console professed to be down on his luck and living "paycheque to paycheque" and claimed that the NES was his only real possession.
Offering a NES on eBay seems to be catching on, if this other example is anything to go by.
Someone has put up for sale a carved wooden replica of a NES on eBay.
However, no one wanted to receive a parcel delivery of the item and the sculpture went unsold.
