A new poll reveals that 75 per cent of firms will seek alternative parcel delivery solutions.Firms across the country have revealed they are worried about the impact the national postal strike will have on their business, while claiming that the reliability of the Royal Mail has been seriously called into question.A specially-commissioned survey by Sky News and the British Chambers of Commerce shows that nearly 90 per cent of companies questioned are concerned about the action, while 93 per cent believe the reputation of the Royal Mail has been damaged.The postal strike will see 75 per cent of firms seek alternative parcel delivery services, such as those offered by Parcel2Go.Sky News business correspondent Anna Jones said that there is little chance those who use Post Office alternatives will use the Royal Mail's parcel delivery services once the current dispute is resolved."The problem is that, once a customer moves, they're unlikely to return. The strike could end up delivering some first-class business into competitors' hands," she stated.Yesterday (October 8th) more than 60,000 postal workers agreed to go on strike over pay, working conditions and plans to modernise the Royal Mail's services.
