The company will now extend its online international delivery service to 73 countries. The success of Marks & Spencer's (M&S) online retail arm has seen the company expand its online international delivery service to 73 new countries. It is part of the firm's commitment to extend cross-channel shopping and it means customers can now place orders for international deliveries on the retailer's website. The scheme was initially launched in France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and the US 11 months ago and will now include countries such as Vietnam and Albania.Dave Hughes, director of M&S Direct, said the move makes sense and will satisfy customer demand."With the international delivery infrastructure already in place, it's been a relatively seamless next step to branch out virtually [to] the rest of the world. It gives us the flexibility to respond to the many customer requests we've been getting to make marksandspencer.com global," he stated. In other news, Tesco has launched an online retail arm which will focus on selling the company's clothes, which could involve the use of parcel delivery services to transport the goods.Written by Tom SandsArticle Added: 06/10/2009 16:07:11
