Mr Williams has urged local people to help support the outlet. Ceredigion's Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams believes residents in the village of Talybont need to take advantage of the parcel delivery services being offered at the local Post Office. After meeting with postmistress Heulwen Astley, Mr Williams urged local people to help support her plans to diversify the outlet and highlighted the branch's place in the local community. At present, the Post Office offers free parcel delivery services to elderly customers who spend more than £25, which Mr Williams claims is proof of the steps it has taken to serve local people."We need to do all we can to support the continuing service. I hope all those who supported our campaign to save the Post Office will show the same determination to support this local business," he stated.Post Office bosses have revealed that a new Aberporth Post Office could open soon after the local outlet closed 18 months ago, the BBC reported.Posted by Lucy PritchardArticle Added: 30/03/2010 16:59:29
