Malcolm Bruce has demanded action from Royal Mail chief executive Adam Crozier.
Gordon MP Malcolm Bruce has called on Royal Mail to review the Post Office counter services available to people in Aberdeenshire.
He has written to Adam Crozier, chief executive of the Royal Mail Group, detailing a "catalogue of failure" in recent weeks, with many outlets reducing their parcel delivery services in recent weeks.
Mr Bruce highlighted problems in the Lumsden, Rhynie, Kennethmont, Newburgh, Collieston, Udny Station and Newmachar areas, saying the services provided are not fit for purpose.
"Pensioners and others rely on a predictable, efficient, accessible and reasonably comfortable service. Too often they are simply not getting it," he wrote.
Among the issues he highlighted were the failure of outreach services to reach certain areas, equipment failures and the adverse weather conditions which have affected much of Scotland.
Residents in the Airdrie and Coatbridge region of Scotland have had their parcel delivery services disrupted due to the heavy snowfall, the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser recently reported.
