New research from PayPal has revealed that men spent more online than women in the past six months.Research has revealed that men are spent more online than women in the first half of 2009.The latest PayPal UK Online Retail Report found that 12.9 million men bought items via online retail sites during the first six months of this year, compared with just over 10 million women.Items which were most likely to be bought online included holidays and financial services, as well as products that may have required parcel delivery services such as groceries, technology or homewares.Carl Scheible, managing director of PayPal UK, said: "The online revolution has turned men into shopaholics. We love the quick and efficient nature of the internet, especially when it comes to buying technology and gadgets."Previous figures from PayPal suggested that the online retail sector will grow by 137 per cent by 2011.Article Added: 11/08/2009 15:43:25
