A huge rehaul in the pricing plan of the Jersey Post service is in the pipeline. The post service in Jersey is planning to restructure its price plans, which will lead to changes in the cost of posting parcels and letters, it has been reported.According to the BBC, the Jersey Post is changing its price plans depending on the size and weight of postal items and for some mail, the price of posting could go up by a quarter. On average, posting costs will increase by around two per cent. The postal service said that the new structure will help make prices of posting more "appropriate" for whatever items are being sent. The move sees the island of Jersey come inline with the rest of the UK, which adopted a pricing structure based on size and weight back in 2006, noted the source.Earlier this month, the Labour party said it still plans to make parts of the Royal Mail private in the future, should it stay in power after today's (May 6th) election.Posted by Tom Sands.Article Added: 06/05/2010 09:39:10
