The arrival of the iPhone 4 has led to a spate of old phones being listed on eBay.The massive popularity of the iPhone 4 has made itself known on popular online auction site eBay, where thousands of older models have been added to sellers' listings since pre-orders began. The iPhone 3GS, which sold a million in the first weekend of its launch last year, has been turning up on eBay for as little as one cent as consumers anticipate parcel deliveries for their iPhone 4.Meanwhile, used consumer electronics site Gazelle.com has purchased no less than 20,000 second-hand iPhones in the wake of the hype surrounding the new device.Kristina Kennedy, a spokeswoman for the site, said: "It's off the charts. "It's three times what we projected."The iPhone 4 itself has turned up on eBay for an average of $942 (£620), while other savvy sellers have taken advantage of Apple's delivery woes to sell bumper casings that compensate for the device's call reception difficulties.Posted by Lucy Pritchard.Article Added: 06/07/2010 13:29:33
