Hugo Boss eyes online sales boost

Hugo Boss reveals online clothing planHugo Boss is hoping to boost its overall sales with new online shopping offerings in Europe.

High-end clothing firm Hugo Boss is expecting a rise in its online sales over the next five years, it has said.

According to the company, Germany's biggest clothing firm, it is looking to secure internet sales of 100 million euros by 2015. This rise will come from an expansion into other markets, including the US and parts of Asia.

Hugo Boss will begin selling its clothing online to US customers by the end of this week. Customers in Germany, the UK, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Scandinavia can already buy the luxury clothing online and have it delivered to their door by parcel delivery service.

The firm hopes that a move into more online business will help it boost its profits by around eight per cent a year.

Fashion fans in the UK keen to have the latest styles delivered right to their front door could also use online auction site eBay's new fashion site, which was launched earlier this month.
