Got an item to sell on eBay? Sellers can put a few tips into practice that should help them to generate more traffic, more interest and make more money.

In an article on goneglobal35.com, eBayer Jon Turner said the first thing to think about is your keywords - try to choose an item description that matches something a buyer might type into the search box.

Meanwhile, people who plan to make a lot of sales on eBay should consider creating an "About me" page and join in the site forums - this will help to bring more traffic to your listings.

"Any time someone reads any of your comments, an icon link to your "About me" page will be available to them," wrote Mr Turner.

"Ebay users are curious creatures, and they will be curious about you."

An article on bencatt.com also suggests making the best use of the free tools eBay provides, such as the arbitrage tool which helps to find poorly-listed items.
