A post office in the village of Great Notley is set to close next month, it has been announced.The residents of an Essex village have been told that their local post office is set to close next month.It has been announced that the branch, which is based at a garage on Great Notley's London Road, will shut its doors for the final time on October 13th.According to the Braintree and Witham Times, the site is coming close to the end of its 12-month trial period and customer numbers have not been high enough to sustain it.Those that do use it will have to seek post office alternatives after the closure.Paul Prosser, the vice-chairman of Great Notley Parish Council, said the decision was "short-sighted".He added there is "a need for a post office".Earlier this week, the Lancashire Evening Post revealed that Broughton post office has been closed without explaination.Written by Tom SandsArticle Added: 18/09/2009 09:35:10
