A leading parcel delivery firm has revealed it is continuing its sponsorship of the French Open tennis tournament this year.
FedEx Express has been named as one of the sponsors of this year's French Open tennis tournament at Roland-Garros.
The company, which is one of the world's leading parcel delivery firms, has revealed that it is taking on the same responsibilities as it did when carrying out the post last year.
Part of its work is to handle the transportation of goods from the competition to elsewhere, including anti-doping tests.
Robert W Elliott, president of FedEx Express's European, Middle Eastern and Africa division, said the deal was "a natural fit".
He added: "The backdrop of the historic Roland-Garros stadium reflects some of the core attributes of FedEx, such as precision, anticipation, speed and service."
Earlier this year, FedEx Express was rated 19th in the prestigious Business Superbrands 2009 list, which rates firms on their global prominence.
