FedEx has walked away with a number of awards at a ceremony in Asia.

FedEx has won accolades at this year's Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) in Shanghai, taking three awards out of a total of 43 categories.

The ceremony, which is now in its 24th incarnation, saw FedEx named as the parcel delivery company with the Best All Cargo Airline, Best Air Cargo Carrier (North America) and Best Road Haulier (Asia), the Handy Shipping Guide reports.

"FedEx is honoured to be recognised for our services by our customers as well as industry players across the region," the website reports FedEx Asia Pacific president David L Cunningham Jr as saying.

"These awards underscore our employees' commitment to service excellence and to ensuring every FedEx experience is outstanding."

DHL also walked away with five awards, including Best Express Operator for the 23rd time, at the AFSCA.

The event polled thousands of readers of Cargonews Asia to select the best service providers in a variety of categories.
