eBay is the most visited online retail site in the UK.

Most people in the UK looking for a parcel delivery go online to eBay UK to make their purchase, new figures have revealed.

eBay UK accounts for over a fifth (21.32 per cent) of traffic to shopping and classifieds sites in the UK and is nearly four times ahead of its nearest parcel delivery rival.

The research from internet analysis firm Experian Hitwise is based on the week ending July 10th and suggests eBay is Brits' favourite place to look for their next parcel delivery.

Amazon UK came second in the list with 5.98 per cent of visits to retail websites.

The remaining 18 sites, including the .com version of eBay, each accounted for around one per cent of traffic.

Amazon UK recently branched out into selling groceries online, offering over 22,000 different products from toiletries to chocolate bars that can be ordered by smartphone using the Amazon app.
