An eBay site is adding two US universities to its roster.

The world's biggest online ticket market place has been selected to be the official partner for two US universities' athletics programmes.

StubHub, an eBay company that allows fans to order tickets for all kinds of events and receive them by courier delivery, is to become the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace for the University of Miami and Florida State University.

Danielle Maged, head of partnerships and business development at StubHub, commented: "StubHub is excited to welcome Miami and Florida State as valued partners within our rapidly growing collegiate roster.

"The universities join Virginia Tech as we expand within the ACC [American Campus Communities] and we are enthusiastic about our continued momentum as we formalise relationships with college sports programs nationwide."

StubHub already has partnership agreements in place with major US sports teams such as the New York Yankees, Washington Redskins and the University of Southern California.

The news comes the company strikes another deal with college athletic ticketing, marketing and fundraising software firm Paciolan.
