The world's largest football could soon be on its way to one lucky eBay shopper with deep enough pockets to match its CAD $1.2 million price tag.

The world's largest football could soon be on a delivery route to one lucky eBay shopper, after the item was put up for sale on the ecommerce website.

Designed and manufactured in Newmarket, Canada, the football is actually a two-person airship.

However, with a CAD $1.2 million (£734,000) price tag will likely only attract the biggest football fan with the deepest pockets, according to the Toronto Star.

Designer Hokan Colting, of Airship Rides Inc which is selling the item, told the newspaper that they have had interest shown from some very strange buyers.

"With the next World Cup in Brazil, we've already had calls from a Brazilian advertising agency possibly wanting three or four soccer-ball airships," he explained.

Another unusual high price item put up for sale on eBay this month is a toilet that was once owned by the author of A Catcher in the Rye, J. D. Salinger.

The toilet is listed with a Buy It Now price of $1 million (£), which will undoubtedly shock those making the final parcel delivery to the toilet's new owner.
