eBay is launching an app to keep its employees in touch.After launching a "smorgasbord of mobile applications" that make it easier to order a parcel delivery while on-the-go, eBay is turning its attention to its employees with a new app.eBay's latest app will keep all its employees informed with a news feed from the company's intranet, lists of global events, messages from those at the top and a directory of conference rooms and phone numbers.The company plans to roll out the iPhone app later in the year to all employees after a successful beta trial.Alan Marks, senior vice president of Global Communications at the company, said: "What better way to engage and reach employees than through devices they carry with them constantly?"Going forward, we're going to enable employees to connect –with each other and with the company – in more useful, intuitive ways."eBay latest shopping app has been launched for Half.com, a site aimed at young people, and includes a barcode scanner.Posted by Mark Moore Article Added: 19/08/2010 16:38:08
