eBay can meet all your Xmas shopping needs, the company has claimed.

Xmas shoppers need look no further than their home computer and a parcel delivery firm for all their presents, it has been claimed.

Some shoppers may wish to get the summer holiday and back to school season out of the way, but eBay is already claiming to be the "one-stop shop for comfort Christmas shopping".

The company said consumers can benefit from doing all their shopping in one place and avoid the busy Christmas shops on the high street by ordering presents online.

Ruth Szyszkowski, a spokesperson for eBay, said the recently-launched eBay Outlet means shoppers can get established brands delivered to their door with up to 70 per cent discount.

"Christmas can be a stressful time, putting a strain on tempers as well as the purse strings. eBay is lightening the financial load of the festive season," she added.

The news comes as the online auction side launches a range of apps that will allow shoppers to buy Christmas gifts via their mobile phones.
