EBay fishing nets monster

EBay fishing nets monster A man has landed a fishing boat for free on eBay.

At 50ft, the 50-tonne vessel was probably too large to be sent by parcel delivery.

Indeed, the dilapidated fishing boat was driven to its new owner in Lincolnshire at a cost of £4,000, although it was snapped up for nothing on eBay, This Is Lincolnshire reports.

The old Scottish fishing vessel now takes pride of place at the Whisby Garden Centre after being spotted on the online marketplace.

It was driven to the village near Lincoln from Preston Marina.

Plans for the boat now involve a restoration project to bring it back to life - potentially costing £30,000 and taking two and-a-half years, the news provider reports.

Not many people have the space to accommodate a 50ft fishing boat and they do not make for a very good parcel delivery.

A more suitable gift for someone might be the latest custom-made bikes designed as replicas of the Lightcycles from the film Tron - but at £23,000, a boat costs rather less.
