Residents in Dundee have claimed they have had postal delivery problems since the introduction of a new system at a local Royal Mail sorting office.A Dundee community has raised concerns about postal services in their area after a number of deliveries failed to arrive at their destination. The Dundee Evening Telegraph has heard from local resident Andy Walker, who claims that letters relating to hospital appointments, bills and birthday cards have not arrived at his house. Such problems have come just months after changes to the sorting of mail at a local delivery centre were introduced and it is thought the current issues may lead people to consider post office alternatives. Discussing the issue, a spokesperson for Royal Mail said: "We are not aware of any issues with the non delivery of mail to the Coupar Street area of Dundee. "However, I would like to assure our customers that all mail is being delivered." At the end of last week, areas across the UK had their postal services disrupted by industrial action.Article Added: 21/07/2009 09:33:04
