A leading parcel delivery firm has revealed plans to increase its employees' environmental awareness.Courier firm DHL Express has outlined proposals to boost the environmental awareness of its staff.The company unveiled its new My Green Day initiative, which is designed to encourage employees to be greener both at work and home, last week on World Environment Day (June 5th).DHL added that the new scheme forms part of its GoGreen Climate Protection Program, which was launched last year and commits the firm to cutting its carbon emissions by 30 per cent by 2020.In a statement, the firm said: "DHL employees play an important role in collectively reducing DHL's environmental footprint. "My Green Day is one of many projects within the GoGreen offering that works to facilitate a long-term cultural change toward being more environmentally responsible."DHL recently announced it has backed non-profit organisation Peace One Day by distributing a DVD to schools across the UK for free.Article Added: 08/06/2009 14:05:10
