DHL expands temperature-controlled services

DHL has improved its temperature-controlled servicesA leading courier services firm has boosted the number of temperature-controlled transport facilities it offers.

Courier services firm DHL has revealed that its freight division has expanded its number of temperature-controlled facilities.

The company, which opened a new temperature-regulated hub in London earlier this year, is now offering similar services to and from countries including Malta, Turkey and Russia.

Up to 500 vehicles are available to be used for the service delivery and state-of-art IT systems are used to ensure packages sent via the network are completed promptly.

Thomas George, chief executive officer of DHL Freight, said: "This enables us to offer even more flexibility to the continuously growing number of customers who have a demand for temperature-controlled services."

News of the expansion has come after DHL Express also launched its new enhanced medical service for the time-sensitive transportation of medicines, clinical supplies and specimens.

The specialist delivery package is likely to be used regularly by those involved in clinical trials.ADNFCR-2348-ID-19245772-ADNFCR
