A non-profit organisation created to encourage school pupils to promote peace has been back by a major parcel delivery company.

Non-profit organisation Peace One Day has received major backing from DHL, it has been revealed.

The parcel delivery firm has supported the work of the body, which encourages school pupils to promote a message of peace to fellow students, by delivering a marketing DVD free of charge.

DHL also managed the logistics of printing, packing and sorting the education pack.

Ken McCall, chief executive officer of DHL Express in UK & Ireland, said the firm was "delighted" to lend a hand to the organisation.

He added: "Our strong network enabled this important learning opportunity to reach over 6400 schools throughout the country within two to three days."

DHL recently confirmed it has signed a deal with biomedical equipment manufacturer Beckman Coulter to deliver its systems from the US to across the world.
