Customers had to wait for as long as half an hour to get their parcels.Members of the public in Coventry have revealed their anger at the queues they face at a city centre sorting office just to pick up parcel deliveries, something which may encourage others to use alternative parcel delivery providers.The Coventry Telegraph reports that people were queuing out of the door at the Bishop Street centre over the weekend to pick up parcels which had not been delivered through their letterboxes.One customer, who had tried to collect their parcels five times and waited for half an hour, told the newspaper it is unacceptable that the parcel delivery service is so inefficient."It is disgraceful. We pay to have our mail delivered and it is just not good enough that we have to wait this long," the person stated.Wealden MP Charles Hendry recently hit out at plans to move the Post Office in Crowborough to a new location.Speaking to thisissussex.co.uk, Mr Wealden said the new site would be inconvenient for many residents, who could use alternative parcel delivery companies instead.Posted by Sarah GowerArticle Added: 02/12/2009 09:41:39
