New research has found that Brits are planning to spend more money on fashion online in the coming 12 months.A new study has predicted that online fashion retailers will see an upturn in business in the coming months.The latest quarterly e-customer service index study by eDigitalResearch and IMRG found that just under half of the people surveyed are currently spending the same or more on fashion than they were 12 months ago.It also found that 76 per cent of people are planning to spend the same or even more in the coming year which could result in an increased amount of parcel delivery needed to fulfil orders.The study found that 52 per cent of people prefer to shop online with multi-channel retailers.Chris Russell, director at eDigitalResearch, said: "This is great news for struggling high street retailers who are considering branching into online, as the opportunities are immense."Recent research conducted by YouGov on behalf of ClickandBuy found that 36 per cent of people predict they will buy more from online retailers during 2009 than they did last year.Article Added: 11/05/2009 15:49:03
