New research has found that consumers in the UK are spending more time buying products on the internet.New research has found that consumers in the UK are spending more time buying products on the internet.A study by eBay Advertising found that 83 per cent of people across Europe are spending more time looking to make purchases on the web than six months ago, which means an increase in parcel delivery as a result.One in three UK consumers admitted to spending "significantly more money online" than six months ago.Researching the right item (32 per cent), finding specific items more easily (29 per cent) and a larger choice of options (18 per cent) were cited as reasons for the growth of online retail.A separate recent study by eBay found that people living in Norwich made the most profit selling on the site in 2008, a total of £17.2 million.Its eBaynomics shopping report also found residents of Brighton made the most money selling art, while people from Bristol spend the most on cultural items.Article Added: 09/04/2009 15:55:01
