Three-quarters of Canadians are turning to social media last thing at night.Three-quarters of Canadians confess the last thing they do at night and the first thing they do in the morning is reach for a laptop or smartphone to check emails and social media sites, a survey has found. The growing importance of social media to firms using parcel delivery and courier services has been yet again highlighted by this new study from drinks maker Bacardi, which noted a wide variation across Canada in people's social networking habits. In Vancouver, 40 per cent of social media users cannot imagine their life without it, while in Edmonton the figure is just 23 per cent. Quebecois are the least likely to have their lives dominated by social media or other technology, with fewer than one in ten (nine per cent) saying they are never without their mobile phone, versus a national average of 23 per cent. The survey comes after international package delivery firm FedEx unveiled a new report on social media best practice for businesses. Posted by Rob ElliottArticle Added: 25/11/2010 09:39:21
