A parliamentary candidate has raised concerns over the closure of a post office in Bradwell. The sudden closure of a post office in Great Yarmouth has raised concerns with a parliamentary hopeful. Great Yarmouth's Conservative candidate Brandon Lewis has called on authorities to provide some insight into whether the site's future is secure. According to the Yarmouth Mercury, people have had to seek post office alternatives since the closure, which occurred without any explanation. Talking to the newspaper, Mr Lewis said: "We are worried that following recent Labour-led closures that Post Office will use this as an opportunity to restrict the services on offer." The Dumfries and Galloway Standard recently confirmed that postal services are to return to the village of Dunscore in the form of an outreach system at a local community hall. A local shop which originally carried the services stopped doing so around 12 months ago.Article Added: 30/07/2009 09:25:36
