A new social media insight firm has been launched.Brands relying on parcel delivery and courier services will be able to use real-time social content to boost their company's profile, thanks to the launch of a new firm. Mass Relevance has been founded by Sam Decker, a former Dell executive and founding chief marketing officer of word-of-mouth agency Bazaarvoice. The company is aimed at helping brands assimilate social media interactions from around the globe so they can put the findings to use. "Given the overwhelming number of conversations coming in from all directions all at once, it's often impossible to focus a lens on the ones that are most relevant for a given time, place, audience and outcome," explained Mr Decker. The company has secured funding from Floodgate and Austin Ventures, with Floodgate's Mike Maples Jr describing Mr Decker as a "phenomenal executive". Recently, .net magazine editor-in-chief Dan Oliver indicated that there will be no shortage of business for Mr Decker and company, as social media will expand significantly.
