Dora The Explorer and SpongeBob Square Pants are coming to the screens of Amazon Prime subscribers for free, as part of a new streaming deal with TV production giant Viacom.
The tie-up will make all of Viacom's popular television shows available on Amazon devices, and could bring about another spike in interest in Amazon's Kindle Fire e-reader – although the content will also be viewable on other devices.
Viacom is the owner many popular TV channels, including Nickelodeon, MTV and VH1, which means, according to Thenextweb.com, that "the pool of available TV content for Prime users will noticeably increase."
Amazon says it will mean that more than 15,000 movies and TV shows will be available on demand to subscribers to Prime, who pay a flat yearly fee of $79 for the privilege.
Viacom's networks have an impressive 700million subscribers worldwide, so while adding the Amazon numbers into that will make little difference, the ability to have its shows viewed on more devices is undoubtedly attractive.
