Good Cause Auctions has completed five pilot projects, which included running the 'Handbag Amnesty' online auctions for Cancer Research and Handbag.com, reports Brand Republic.

Following the successful completion of the plots, the firm is offering its services handling auction design, security, set-up, eBay and PayPal interface and customer examination to brands looking to run charity auctions.

Good Cause Auctions will also arrange for the parcel delivery and fulfilment of orders for customers on items won via the auctions.

According to the firm, it is the only auction management company to be officially recognised by eBay.

Cathy Palmer, director of good Cause Auctions, told the site: "Working with agencies, celebrities, brands and charities, we take care of the elements needed to harness the auction opportunity to the benefit of all parties."

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is auctioning off a special package on eBay, which will see the winning bidder travel to the premiere, walk the red carpet and watch the first showing of Shutter Island alongside the heartthrob actor.
