Save time with auto top-ups to your pre-pay account
You can now arrange automatic top-ups to your pre-payment account, so that a credit
or debit card payment is made to your pre-pay account whenever your balance falls
below your pre-set level.
You can use this new feature to set a regular payment into your pre-payment account
when your balance falls below a pre-determined level. For example, you could request
that £100 is added when your pre-payment balance falls below £20.
Alternatively, you can arrange a fixed top-up, for example £50 every month.
Using Parcel2Go.com’s pre-payment facility means that you save time because there’s
no need to dig out your credit card every time you book a parcel delivery.
Parcel2Go.com’s business development director, Richard Adams-Mercer, says he introduced
the pre-pay and top-up services to enable customers to quickly book parcel deliveries
without repeatedly needing to enter credit or debit card details.
“We’ve seen a big rise in customers registering on our website because of their
dissatisfaction with the strike action affecting Royal Mail, so we’ve been looking
at ways to offer a more efficient service,” he said.
He was keen to emphasise that Parcel2Go.com does not store any sensitive information
about customer credit or debit cards. “Card details are stored by our card processing
company. They are Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant to the highest industry
standard.
“The only information Parcel2Go.com stores is the last 4 digits on a card, the expiry
date and the nickname given to a card, such as ‘my main card’. This is so that customers
can easily identify individual cards,” he added.
